Where do you ship to?
Currently we ship wine to D.C., Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. We ship labels anywhere in the USA.
How are shipping rates calculated?
Shipping is calculated using real time UPS rate based on weight. There is a minimum $20.00 shipping charge for all wine orders.
Where is my order shipped from?
Orders will be shipped from the Carafe Store you were shopping in. There are two locations, Carafe Alexandria or Carafe Chesapeake.
Can I track my order?
Yes, you can contact us at anytime for an update on your order.
How do I pay for my order?
When you set up your account, you select your payment method. Although we process all orders via Paypal, you do not need a Paypal account. Our Paypal process accepts VISA, MasterCard and Amex. Note that Carafewinestore.com does not store any credit card numbers on our server.
What is the order cut-off date?
Please allow up to 12 days for delivery.
Is my delivery date guaranteed?
Carafe guarantees all orders to be shipped within 7 days of receipt of payment. Subject to weather conditions, it takes our shipper, UPS, between 3-5 days to deliver to you. Therefore, you should allow 10 to 12 days for delivery to your door.
Note that an Adult signature is required for wine. Wine cannot be left at your door, even at your request, due to liability and alcohol shipping regulations. United States Postal Service does not ship wine.
What if I want to ship to separate addresses?
Each address requires an individual orders.
Why is shipping wine so expensive?
Wine is both heavy and fragile and must be well packed to ensure there is no damage.
What if I am not certain which wine to order and need some more advice?
We would be pleased to help you select the wine that is right for you! Feel free to contact us at any time for assistance.
Return Policy
Any problems with the receipt of your package must be called in to us within 7 days of the delivery date. To return unopened wine, please re-pack the wine in the same packaging and send it to the address on your original sales receipt. Please include a copy of the original sales receipt with the package.
If you suspect a bottle of wine is bad, please cork the bottle, leave the contents in the bottle, we will arrange for pick up and return to us for analysis. Do not send us an empty bottle. After we receive and inspect the bottle, we will send out a replacement.
Please note: All returns/cancellations are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
